Jakarta’s Weather Today is Hodgepodge, Says BMKG

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said that the weather in Jakarta this afternoon, Tuesday, August 8, 2023, will be a hodgepodge, which means a bit of everything. Some areas will be sunny, some cloudy, while others will potentially have a drizzle.

Light rain is predicted to drizzle over South Jakarta and East Jakarta. West Jakarta will be partly cloudy, while Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and Seribu Islands will be sunny without a hint of clouds.

In the evening, light rain will still greet South Jakarta and East Jakarta, with the addition of West Jakarta. The rest of Jakarta is forecasted to be sunny.

BMKG also releases an early warning for a brief thunderstorm accompanied by strong winds in South Jakarta in the late afternoon.

Overall, the temperature in Jakarta today ranges from 23 to 33 degrees Celsius. Air humidity is at 55% to 90% at the highest.

Around Jakarta, BMKG mentioned that Bekasi, Depok, and Cibinong (Bogor Regency) will be partly cloudy this afternoon and cloudy in the evening.

Bogor City, Tangerang City, Serpong (South Tangerang), and Tigaraksa (Tangerang Regency) will be cloudy from the afternoon and well into the night. No early warning is given for these regions.
